Happy Birthday Alexis!

These past few weeks have been super crazy for me but I wanted to make a quick post and share some pictures. :) My daughter turned 2 years old today! We celebrated this morning with birthday pancakes. It was my first time attempting to make them and the kids seemed to love them! It was really a lot of fun decorating them with the sprinkles and making them extra special. I even added a little Hello Kitty toy on top just like a birthday cake decoration and 2 candles!

Blowing out the candles!

Elf Haul

A few weeks ago I went to our local drugstore to pick up some stamps because I had some mail to send out. While I was there I noticed they are now carrying Sinful Colors & Elf Cosmetics and noticed everything was under $2. Today I went there with $10 in hopes of getting some goodies that I had on my beauty shopping list. I had tried some Elf products out in the past that I wasn't fond of but really never tried many. So I went through some blogs, pinterest, and tons of products on Elf's site and made a list of what I want to try out. Unfortunately our drugstore doesn't carry any of the products I was after so here is what all I picked up instead and I am really happy with all of these!

Soothing Lip Balm

Eye Widener

Shine Eraser
Defining Eye Brush

Eyeshadow Brush

Bronzing Brush

Foundation Brush

Eyelash Curler

Do you have any favorite Elf products, if so what are they?

JENsations Purple Argyle

Today I have another one of JENsations lovely polishes to show you. This one is called Purple Argyle and it is very unique and pretty. This polish is a gorgeous mix of multi-colored matte diamond & bar shaped glitters with purple, black, and white in a clear base. It looks so pretty in it's star shaped bottle!

I looked through so many of my polishes to figure out which I wanted to pair it with and originally used it over Zoya's Perrie and it looked great but a bunch of bubbles appeared in Perrie and after trying to use it again I decided I needed a different polish to use under it. I normally don't wear many white polishes but It's All About Glam from Nicole by OPI has a nice shimmer in it and it turned out to look amazing with Purple Argyle.

To apply Purple Argyle I used a dabble technique for glitter so I could move the glitters along to place nicely instead of just brushing it on like normal. You can see the technique I used for it *here*. In the last post featuring Squared, I mentioned how I love the brushes in these polishes because of the clear bristles. That is what made the dabble technique great with this polish because I could see exactly where I was moving all of these glitters to and make sure they weren't bunched up on top of each other. The formula and drying time was great with this polish as well.

Purple Argyle can be found *here* and all of her other fun polishes *here* in JENsation's Etsy Store! You can also find JENsation's Facebook page *here*.

If you don't own any of JENsations pretty polishes, I definitely recommend adding some to your collection! You will not be disappointed at all!

JENsations Squared!

Hi everyone! Today I have a super cute polish from JENsations to show you all! All of her polishes come in these super cute star shaped bottles. I absolutely love stars and even have 2 star tattoos so these bottles are definitely a favorite of mine. The polish you will be seeing in this post is named Squared and it is a fun multi-colored & multi-sized matte square glitter mix with red, teal, yellow, purple, orange, hot pink and green in a clear base. And it looks like confetti in a bottle!

It goes well with so many different colored polishes! I swatched it on top of pinks, corals, greens, light blues, and others before deciding which one to wear it with and I decided on a lime green. I used China Glaze's I'm With A Lifeguard under it and it looks so awesome with it! If you have this or plan on getting it, I also recommend using it on top of Butter London's Trout Pout. They looked amazing together as well!

This polish went on great and I didn't have to fish for glitters or place them. Another thing that I loved aside from the star shaped bottle is that the brush and bristles for her polishes are clear. So if you wanted to place glitters on certain parts of the nail, you could easily see where they are being placed and how many are on the tip of the brush. The formula was wonderful and dried faster than I expected!

Squared can be found *here* and all of her other fun polishes *here* in JENsation's Etsy Store! You can also find JENsation's Facebook page *here*.

I will have another one of Jen's beautiful creations to show you all in one of my next posts!

Do you have any of Jen's pretty polishes..if so, which ones do you have?
